How We Create Our Pieces: Each piece is made to order using high-quality steel sourced from local mills in Syracuse and Utica, NY. Although we consistently purchase the same grade of hot-rolled steel, variations in color, scale, and minor imperfections may occur, adding to the unique charm of each piece. We cut, deburr, mark, drill, and bend the steel with care, ensuring a high-quality finish. Before shipping, we thoroughly inspect each item for any oxidation and address it as needed.
Care Recommendations: Over time, all metal may oxidize or rust, with the rate depending on environmental factors. If you choose to keep the steel raw, we recommend using a dry scotch brite pad or steel wool to remove any rust as it appears. Some customers opt to protect their hooks with rust-inhibiting paint, like Rustoleum, or apply a beeswax coating for added longevity.
